Here's What is Next:
A New Chapter Begins: Embracing My True Purpose
Well, it's over. I quit. I'm free.
For the past couple of years, I've been working with an agency that helps car dealerships by creating photo and video assets to make selling cars easier. Throughout this journey, I've learned numerous lessons about business—the good, the bad, what to do, and what not to do. It has been a great time and a valuable experience.
But now, it's time for something new. It's time for me to live my actual purpose.
I don't know about you, but for me, there has always been something deep inside that guided me like a North Star, a clear direction I was meant to follow. Any time I strayed from that path, it was always painful—not necessarily physically, though sometimes it was—but more so on a psychological and emotional level. It was a constant reminder that I wasn't on the right path.
I believe each of us has a mission, a commission, if you will, to fulfill a specific purpose. For me, one of my goals is to reach as many people as I can across the world with the good news of the gospel. To do that, I need to be able to finance my own life, and to do that, I need to serve people in a way that allows me to sustain myself.
So now, I'm building a video marketing business that lets me do just that. This is only the beginning. We're about to help experts, entrepreneurs, coaches, solopreneurs—anyone with a skill set that can change lives—become known. We will help them create demand, find their market, and qualify the best customers for their business. This will enable them to support their families, their communities, and live out their purpose.
This is an exciting time, and I'm thrilled. I hope you can sense my enthusiasm. In the past, I've tried different approaches with video—being a videographer and running a video production company. What I've learned is that the cinematic quality of a video, no matter how high-budget, doesn't matter if it's not strategically placed and used for a specific purpose. Without a strategic purpose, the value of the video is lost—it's just art.
Now, we have the opportunity to maximize our potential and serve humanity by using the tools at our disposal. Whether it's a DSLR, SLR, or just the camera on your phone, you have the chance to make yourself known. There's a scripture from the gospel that says, "You are the light of the world." The idea is that if you are the light of the world, you don't hide it under a basket or a bushel. You let it shine before others so they can see the good works you do and be drawn to what God is doing.
That's my goal: to empower you to use the message and gifts God has given you, to help you get known. The old life is behind me, and the new, exciting one is just beginning.
