Why You Need Faith: A Message You Can’t Ignore
What do you think of when you hear the word "hell"?
Most people avoid the topic entirely. Many preachers won’t even go near it. But we have to, because eternity is too important to ignore.
Some imagine hell as a fiery abyss full of demons and torment. Others feel like they’re living their own version of hell on earth. No matter where you fall, the truth remains: there is no greater risk than separation from God.
But before we can understand hell, we must understand its opposite. Let’s use inverse thinking.
What is God?
God is life, light, truth, love, beauty, and everything good you experience. Now imagine a reality with none of that—no light, no love, no truth. That is hell: complete separation from God. It’s like the earth drifting without the sun, lost and purposeless.
Many people think they’re just surviving life. But friend, you came across this message for a reason: to make a decision.
The Fork in the Road
Each of us walks a path by default—a path shaped by sin, where temporary pleasures lead to eternal destruction. But God, in His mercy, gives us moments like this: opportunities to exit that path and choose life.
To make that choice, you need one thing: faith.
Not skills. Not wealth. Not luck. Faith.
Faith is what fuels action. It’s what moves a batter to swing, an entrepreneur to build, a soul to believe. As Jesus said, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you can move mountains."
And even when it’s dark and you can’t see the road ahead? Jesus says, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe."
Faith Is Not Optional
Faith is not something you stumble into. It’s not man-made. It comes from hearing the Word of Christ. You want more faith? Spend time with God. Spend time in His Word. Feed your spirit.
Scripture says, "By grace you have been saved through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."
You didn’t earn it. You can’t boast about it. Faith is a gift. And God gives each person a measure of it.
Jesus is the author and perfecter of our faith. He endured the cross. He rose from the dead. That resurrection is not just symbolic—it’s the ultimate proof that our faith is real, powerful, and eternal.
There Is No Middle Ground
John 14:6 is clear: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
There are only two options:
Live a life of faith in Christ.
Reject Him and remain separated.
There is no neutral. No middle aisle. Every excuse that keeps you from faith has already been answered:
Pride? God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Fear of surrender? Lose your life for His sake, and you will find it.
Hidden sin? Christ will set you free.
Doubt? Creation, resurrection, and love testify to His truth.
Hypocrisy in the church? Don’t confuse man’s failure with God’s character.
Delay? Today is the day of salvation.
Fear of others? What will it profit you to gain the world but lose your soul?
Believing lies? While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Faith Is the Prerequisite to Life
Faith in Christ is not just a suggestion—it is the cornerstone of life. It is the access point to everything good that God wants to pour into you.
So today, don’t delay.
Don’t drift.
Run to Him.
Put your faith in Jesus Christ now—and experience life like you never have before.
